Herzegovina”.
The activities planned will be conducted as a part of UNIFEM’s sub-regional program
“Gender-Responsive Budgeting in South East Europe: Advancing Gender Equality and
Democratic Governance through Increased Transparency and Accountability”. Through this
project a group of 10 nongovernmental organizations will try to estimate the amount of financial
resources allocated for this purpose in the budgets of local communities and social service
centers in Banja Luka, Bihać, Prijedor, Modriča, Tuzla, Bijeljina, Zenica, Višegrad, Mostar and
Trebinje, and in the cantonal budgets of the ministries of social policy in Una-Sana Canton,
Tuzla Canton, Zenica Doboj Canton and Hercegovina Neretva Canton and in the Federal
Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
The objective of this project is to ensure systematic financing of safe houses in the entire BiH
through public budgets at all levels of authority.
